Travel Safely in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos with us.

Most of the COVID-19 restrictions and rules have been lifted in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos to encourage international tourism. They do not require COVID-19 vaccine certificates, medical declarations, or quarantines for international tourists. Below is a brief overview of the COVID-19 requirements for Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.

VIETNAM

Vietnam does NOT require proof of vaccination or quarantine under COVID-19. All border gates in Vietnam DO NOT require international tourists to take the COVID-19 test, a recovery certificate, or a Medical Declaration for COVID-19 before entering the country. For COVID-19 treatment, travel medical insurance should have a liability of $10,000 or more.

Health and safety precautions for travelers

- Any travelers who exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 − fever, cough, and difficulty breathing − should immediately call Vietnam’s health hotline: 1900 3228. . - Take preventive action such as wearing a mask or cleaning their hands with disinfectant solutions.

A small number of rural areas in Vietnam may be infected with malaria. Make sure you are well-prepared for a first-aid kit by consulting your doctor. We recommend the following vaccinations: polio, tetanus, yellow fever, typhoid, Japanese encephalitis. You should have solutions for stomachaches, headaches, and such in your personal kit. Make sure wounds are disinfected and bandaged to prevent infection. If you have been bitten by an animal, seek medical attention. Make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen with you, as the sun shines over half of the day throughout the country.

THAILAND

The COVID-19 Emergency Decree will end on 30 September 2022, and all travel restrictions related to the pandemic will be removed. As a result, foreign travelers to Thailand will no longer need to show proof of vaccination or Rapid Antigen Test (ATK) results as of 1 October 2022. Please refer to the detailed information at https://www.tatnews.org/2022/09/thailand-ends-covid-19-emergency-decree-on-30-september-2022/

The law requires you to carry your passport at all times; health insurance is highly recommended. In large cities, there are reliable medical facilities. There is a doctor on call in all major hotels. Major cities do not have malaria. If you're traveling to remote regions, you may want to consider vaccinations against typhoid, tetanus and hepatitis. Make sure wounds are disinfected and bandaged to prevent skin infections. If you have been bitten by an animal, seek medical attention. You should bring plenty of sunscreen since the sun shines for over half the day in the country.

CAMBODIA

Foreign tourists will still need to present proof of vaccinations or a Covid-19 Vaccination Card, but PCR tests 72 hours before arrival and Rapid Antigen Tests (ATK) will no longer be required. LAOS

Vaccinated foreigners with a vaccination certificate may enter Laos by land, air, or sea without being screened for Covid-19. If a non-vaccinated foreign citizen is not vaccinated, they must take a Rapid Antigen Test (ATK) no more than 48 hours before their departure and present the results upon arrival.
