It is 348 km from Ho Chi Minh City, located on the swampy shores of the Ganh Hao River, an area at the southern tip of Vietnam. This area is known for bird parks, mangrove forests, green rice fields and mosquitoes.
U-Minh Forest
The U-Minh Forest, covering 1000 square km of Camau, Minh Hai and Kien Giang provinces, is the second largest mangrove swamp in the world just after the Amazon basin. There are two rivers, the Trem and the Cai Tau, flowing through the area. The forest is always gloomy and flooded everyday by tidal waters. U-Minh Forest is famous for its wealth of wild birds, waterfowl, reptiles, fish, and honeybees.
