Greetings from Thailand

Thailand has long been a popular tourist destination. And not without reason! Although Thailand's tropical islands and white sand beaches are its most famous attractions, the country's hilly north offers a respite from its bustling capital, while its north-eastern region, Isaan, remains relatively unspoiled by tourism. Its friendly locals, mouthwatering food, and majestic temples that dot the entire country make Thailand a truly remarkable destination

In shops labeled 'VAT Refund for Tourists', you can get a refund for Value Added Tax (7%) on goods purchased for a minimum of THB 2,000, including VAT. A VAT Refund Application for Tourists must be filled out at the time of purchase and a passport must be presented. It is possible to obtain cash refunds at the airport departure hall (minimum THB 5,000) if you show the items you purchased, and often you'll need to show the goods you purchased as well.

Voltage: A & C plugs (two flat-pronged or round-pronged holes); 220 volt AC (50 cycles). If you want to use 110-volt appliances, you will need a voltage converter and plug adapter. Our recommendation is to get a universal adapter and converter kit.

Visa

Most Western/Eastern Europe countries, American countries, East Asian countries, and Pacific countries do not require a tourist visa, they have a free entry tourist visa lasting 15 days/30 days/90 days by land and air (depending on the country). There are 64 countries that enjoyed the Visa Exemption rule. If you plan to stay longer, you should apply for a single-entry 60-day tourist visa at a Thai embassy or consulate before entering the country. It is possible to extend a Thai tourist visa by 30 days at an immigration office. All passports must be valid for at least six months, and onward tickets must be presented when entering the country. You should check the official government website for the latest regulations before traveling, since travel policies change frequently. http://www.mfa.go.th/main/ or https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/thai-visa-exemption-and-bilateral-agreement
